Fantastic toddler Football Club in Leighton Buzzard!
I absolutely loved coming to see my nephew Hunter and his Dad Jim at Lion Cubs football club in Leighton Buzzard just before Christmas. Hunter has always loved kicking a ball and is pretty good at it, and Lion Cubs will hopefully instil a love of the game and grow his skills.
But the club is about so much more than that - they take a comprehensive approach to the physical and mental benefits of sport: developing coordination, balance and motor skills; team work and collaboration; and even speech, numeracy and core communication skills.
It was fantastic to see how much Hunter enjoyed every aspect of it and to see his confidence growing. Parents participate throughout the session, which encourages a shared love of exercise. And the coaches are amazing with the kids, managing somehow to keep everything and everyone under control, while making the whole thing fun.
This is such a great activity for young children in Leighton Buzzard. If you’re interested in finding out more you can book one of their free taster sessions here.
I’m really grateful to the club for allowing me to take and share these photos. I’m sure that Jim will enjoy showing these to Hunter in a few years. He is growing and changing so quickly, and it will be fun to look back at him enjoying himself so much and spending some quality time with Dad.
